At all times, people exalted love, dedicating poems to it and songs, paintings and sculptures, buildings and cities.
In most existing paintings, the image of love has always been associated with the image of tactile contact. But love is not only the contact of our skin, it is also the contact of our souls.
In this work, I want to show that behind the rapidly developing proximity of two bodies, there is an invisible to the eye, a long process of rapprochement of two souls.
Now you will see a history of rapprochement, a lifetime.
The first crush. Always green, always gentle and warm. This period is associated with childhood,
when there are no worries, no adult fears, only curiosity and a desire to come closer, even if they don’t pay attention to us.
The period of obsession. It's time when two bodies are drawn to each other with animal zeal not to let go of what they have found.
But two souls are not yet ready to touch, just as they are not ready for love, because where there is a lot of animal, there is little human.
The period of disappointed habit. Agray time, colors to which can be added only by the desire of two people to touch. Animal passion no longer saturates, and it seems that one can disperse in search of new emotions,
but everyone’s heart feels that in addition to the animal there is a human one,
having unraveled the secret of finding which, one can achieve what each of us desires most - true happiness.
In an effort to find what everyone wants to have, two people begin to actively interact with each other: speak and hear, understand and empathize, recognize and accept. The work begins.
The period of knowledge. Green again, soft and warm again, but no longer childish.
All stories are heard, all fears and pains are cried out, all dreams and desires are revealed. And it seems to be love, but something is not right.
There is closeness, you can feel it, but no full contact happened.
Between two hearts, as between two magnets, there is a pull and a desire to close. They came so close to each other that contact is inevitable,
but something holds them and does not allow them to come together.
This "something" is beyond our comprehension. We are not able to name it, but we are able to feel it. All that our couple needs at this stage is to close their eyes and surrender to the peaceful flow leading to....
...to true love. This is what love looks like to me. Two souls touched when they no longer needed eyes to see, ears to hear. You don't need a body to feel something else.
And there is no need to look for a description of this feeling. Even trying to do it is not worth it
to miss a seconds of such a magical state, a genuine feeling of another person, his whole gut.
Real contact. Absolute transparency.
Everything tangible remained in the material world, in a world where there is time and matter.
In the new world there is only love.
